Buses from Vienna airport to Bratislava

If you arriving into Vienna airport (Flughafen Wien in German) you can take a bus directly Bratislava. The buses are very nice and the whole trip including the border crossing takes about 70 minutes. Buses leave from right in front of the terminal. There is a charge paid to the bus driver for each item of luggage. It's about 70 cents ( Euros) we found it handy that we had the exact change because the bus driver only spoke Slovak.

There are two bus companies:
Eurolines:- You can buy tickets in the office in the arrival hall. Its marked in red in the figure above. The staff there speak english and buses run regularly. Click here and enter the the start and end point as shown below. Enter the date you arrive and you will get the timetable.

Their buses arrive into the main bus station in Bratislava. It is centrally located.

The other bus company is Blaguss and their website is in slovak only. Their timetable is here. Flughafen Wien Schwechat is Vienna airport. Novy Most is where you should get off the bus in Bratislava. It means "New Bridge" and it is the bridge over the Danube beside St Martins Cathedral. The bus, one way, costs 135skk which is approximately $5 or 4.
If you arrive in a group it may be worthwhile booking a car to drive you to Bratislava. The cars cost about $68 or 52 and can take up to 4 people.
